Public transport in small mini-buses is cheap and not as dangerous as you might have heard. Just be polite, grab the front seat if you can and hold onto your bags. Hang around the taxi-ranks. Don't go wandering off into strange corners alone and you should be safe. Most local people will be helpful and if you stay with the crowds you'll be more protected. Larger buses ( with the suitable brand name of GrimBoy) run sort-of regular runs between the Lisikisiki and the coast. They are all prone to be more crowded than you will have seen outside of Asia. Do not travel alone unless you have been here before.
