Round every corner there is another adventure.

The Port St Johns golf course is the cutest thing you ever did see.

Set in the rolling slopes just south of town behind First Beach, ever golfer should try this dinky out for size.

Immaculately maintained, the golf course is open to visitors. If you fancy a round, email Dries on umzimvuburetreat@telkomsa.net and I'm sure he'll see what and who is available to give you a game.

A bad picture of a Samango monkey

Yes I know, its not a great picture. However, its the best I can do right now.

It's a Samango Monkey, which live on the slopes of Mount Sullivan, north of the Umzimvubu River.

DO NOT CHASE THESE ANIMALS.
THEY ARE TIMID FRUIT EATERS!
More info at junglemonkey.co.za

However, do watch out for the Vervets. They look the same, a little smaller, without the black coloration, and they do steal your food. Common out at Second Beach.

2nd Beach

Delicious Monster Second Beach 047 564 1317 has the best view in town. (Well, everyone says that.) The Delicious Monster is the place to be on Friday night when Kevin provides an excellent evenings worth of his own music.
If you're lucky, the River Band and other wandering players will also entertain.

The view from the Delicious Monster hillside. See the Gap?
Do be careful. Don't go to the Gap in wet weather.
Read the guide lines.

Wood'n'Spoon Second Beach 047 564 8202 Hawaii comes to Africa. There is nothing like a quiet evening at the side of the Second Beach lagoon, listening to the Vervet monkeys return to the forests above the Bulolo river from their days raiding and the sounds of the birds settling down for the night.
Try their fresh fish of the day. It will be fresh! Their hamburgers are also well regarded!
