2 kilometers north of Port St Johns, hidden in a small grove of Milkwood trees, is the hamlet of Agate Terrace. Set on a three kilometer beach, Agate Terrace is named after a patch of the beach that in past years has yielded abundant quantities of polished agate stones.

View from the road of Long Beach

Many of those who have visited Port St Johns over the years have discovered that Agate Terrace still offers the attractions for which the Wild Coast is world renowned; seclusion and unspoiled beauty.

Anglers and families find the Agate Terrace Holiday apartments perfect for a Port St Johns holiday. Only one and a half kilometers from the Umzimvubu River, the apartments are an excellent base for cycle rides along the coast and river, long expeditions in the forests, sunrise and sunset walks on the deserted beach and access to the nearby famous Poenskop rocks for record breaking angling.
